See ya, Scottsdale

Two weeks in Scottsdale, and I have to say...eh, it was fine. The Apache Trail and Desert Botanical Garden were fantastic, as was the weather. I think I've gotten use to desert temps, as I was a little chilly when it was 80 this week (apologies to those dealing with midwestern snow this weekend). Oh, and let's not forget Dr. Mark's magical healing powers.

But other than that, it was pretty much just meh. It was like a giant suburb, full of condo complexes, strip malls, and Hummers. I will say, the people watching was kind of fabulous; man, there's a lot of plastic surgery in Snottsdale Scottsdale.

When I asked people what they liked to do in Scottsdale, nearly every one of them said "get out of Scottsdale". One said she liked the clubs, but since the only clubs I like are ones that come with bacon, that didn't help me much. So, I do believe Scottsdale is off the list. Nice for golf, or a spa weekend (especially at the Willow Stream Spa, heaven), but not so interested in heading back there for a long period of time.

On to Flagstaff!
