Taliesen

On Saturday I headed to Taliesen, Frank Lloyd Wright's home/school in Scottsdale. After decades of cold and wet midwestern winters, he moved to Arizona for his health. Smart man. He bought 600+acres of land in an undeveloped area with no water source, people thought he was crazy. Decades later, it sits in the middle of high falutin' Scottsdale.

This is a reproduction of his "Origami Chairs", valued at $6k. The originals are valued at $36k. My car cost less than half that.

This dragon was a gift of a former student. It is connected to a gas line and at night it breathes fire. That would be neat to see.

View of the Camelback Mountains from the property.
