New Mexico "Land Of Enchantment", I'll say!

Within minutes of crossing the Texas border, the gray funnel-y clouds gave way to this:

I'm just sayin'.

About 30 miles east of Albuquerque, I passed in rapid succession the following signs over the course of two miles (two miles go by quickly when the speed limit is 75):

Steep grades
Dangerous curves
Gusting wind
Elk and Deer Crossing
Rocks! - the sign included the exclamation point, as well as an illustration of rocks crushing cars.

Good grief. Did I mention the 75 mph? And just to make it interesting, it was snowing. I believe New Mexico's unofficial state motto is "No Wimps".

New Mexico is gorgeous, I'd forgotten how amazing the western states are. A few shots of New Mexico:

You aren't even in the pretty part of the state. Go North into the mountains for real beauty.

Loving the travelogue. Very, Very disappointed that I didn't just force you to take me along.
